PhD Scholarships

In conjunction with the Graduate School, the University is delighted to announce that it is offering 12 scholarships each year to assist our PhD students in travelling to our Universitas 21 partners.

Each scholarship pays up to £1500 to assist a student with travelling and accommodation costs and a visit might usually be for a period of approximately one month. For a full list of Universitas 21 (U21) institutions refer to the left hand menu (preference is given to those wishing to travel outside of the U.K.).

Deadlines: We have two deadlines; these are staggered to assist students wishing to apply (or travel) earlier or later during the academic year. Deadline 1 is Friday November 17th 2006; applicants can expect to hear if their application was successful by early December.
Deadline 2 is Friday January 19th 2007; applicants can expect to hear early in February.
